TRAI – Minimum Broadband speeds – 2 Mbps

Well, this is like a dream come. Well, not exactly – it is just one step forward in the right direction. TRAI has recommended that an Internet Connection to be labelled as Broadband should have a minimum speed of 2 Mbps. The current definition of broadband in India is an internet connection with atleast 256 Kbps speed.
BSNL introduces EVDO based Unlimited Wireless Broadband

BSNL has officially launched it’s EVDO based Wireless Broadband service. This EVDO service is based on CDMA technology. They are offering TWO flavours, one regular NIC based 144 Kbps wireless internet and another EVDO based wireless broadband with speeds upto 2.4 Mbps. Please see the details below:
